
Finance and Accounting Supervisor

Job Description: Along with senior leadership, supervise GD Arabia Ltd. annual strategic plans and objectives. Preparation of monthly forecasts incorporating historical results and future assumptions. Supervise the full cycle accounting and finance functions including but not limited to (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cash, general accounting duties, month-end/year-end close, journal entries, accounts reconciliation, fixed assets, allocation of expenses, monthly financial statements and reporting requirements). Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial/accounting processes and reporting in accordance with company accounting policies, US GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Lead multi-functional teams in the preparation, analysis and presentation of estimates at completion. Establish direct program budgets and perform variance analysis to budget and identify corrective actions. Prepare cost proposals and estimates with accompanying rationale and justification for new business development opportunities. Coordinate and supervise various monthly, quarterly and annual audits and interface with the audit teams, including interfacing with the DCAA. Update and revise as needed the DCAA Disclosure Statement. Responsible for documentation and maintenance of a documented system of accounting policies and procedures including effective internal controls (and SOX controls). Hire, train and supervise staff including team building in a multi-cultural environment. Coordinates with corporate finance functions (corporate reporting, cost accounting, tax, treasury) to ensure that timely and accurate reports and analysis are provided, appropriate journal entries are prepared and recorded, and assists with the internal and external audits. Responsible for tax administration and issues; interfacing with GDLS Tax Department, outside tax consultants and Saudi Arabia Department Zakat and Income Tax. Assists in development and maintenance of controls over company assets. Support GD Arabia Ltd. Management Committee meetings with financial/status reports. Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time. Skills: Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Desire to understand the business and partners with the leadership team to improve the overall business. Ability to work with all levels of professionals, while influencing them to provide all necessary information to effectively complete your work. Team oriented, well organized, detailed, committed to customer service. Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, working proactively and taking initiative to achieve desired results. Ability to travel and qualify for a visa. Proficient with Microsoft Suite of tools. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Cross functional collaboration skills. Strong working experience and knowledge of internal controls and SOX. Experience training, developing, and mentoring a team.
